CUEA represented member utilities at the California Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) Annual All-Hazards Preparedness Seminar, an important statewide event focused on emergency planning, coordination, and readiness for the upcoming fire season.
A key component of the seminar included a multi-agency tabletop exercise that brought together California Emergency Support Functions (CA-ESFs) and partner organizations to discuss expected actions, coordination processes, and operational considerations across a range of emergency scenarios.
Throughout the exercise, CUEA provided critical utility-sector perspectives and helped state partners better understand the operational realities, resource limitations, and coordination needs faced by utility operators during major incidents.
The seminar promoted discussion, shared situational awareness, and strengthened relationships among agencies responsible for preparedness, response, and recovery activities throughout California.
By representing member utilities in these statewide planning efforts, CUEA helps ensure utility concerns and capabilities remain part of broader emergency management discussions.
